OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) - The SUNY College at
Old Westbury men's soccer team registered goals by junior Andrew Holder (Bellport, NY) and freshman Brian Orozco (North Babylon, NY)
while junior Darian Bryan (Elmont, NY) posted his first shutout of
the season to give the Panthers a 2-0 victory in a Skyline
Conference battle against the Blue Knights of Mount Saint Mary
College on Saturday afternoon at Panther Park. Old Westbury
improved to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in Skyline Conference action, while
Mount Saint Mary falls to 3-3-1 and 0-2, respectively.
At the 34:56 mark, Brian Orozco uncorked a laser into the upper
right corner beating Mount Saint Mary senior goalkeeper Paul Aries
(Nashua, NH) to put Old Westbury in the scoring column, giving
freshman Mathais Coni (Oceanside, NY) his sixth assist of the
season. Old Westbury closed out the scoring at the 35:46 mark
when Andrew Holder netted his first goal of the season off a pass
by senior Fabian Santibanez (Oyster Bay, NY), who tallied his
team-leading seventh helper of the season.
Old Westbury junior goalkeeper Darian Bryan (Elmont, NY)
recorded made six saves between the pipes. Mount Saint Mary
goalkeeper Paul Aries stopped four shots and allowed two goals in a
losing effort.
Old Westbury outshot Mount Saint Mary, 7-2 in the first half,
and ended the game with a 19-8 shot advantage in addition to an
11-2 advantage in the corner.
ST. JOSEPH'S-L.I. NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old
Westbury will take on the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph's
College-L.I. for a Skyline Conference showdown on Saturday, October
