(www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team posted a pair of first-half goals as well as an insurance goal in the second half to take down the Bard Raptors, 3-1, Saturday in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. OW stretched their win-streak to six (program record) and improved to a program best 10-5 on the season, including 6-1 in conference action. The Panthers handed the Raptors (6-7) their second conference loss of the year as it falls to 5-2 against the Skyline Conference.

Joanna Kettell put the Panthers up early with a goal just 9:59 into regulation as her shot deflected off Bard keeper Amy Strawbridge for her 11th goal of the season. Victoria Stewart set up a cross to Kettell for her sixth assist of the season. Moments later, Cassandra Esposito extended the Panthers' lead with her 15th goal of the season at 15:09 off a feed from Victoria Stewart and Samantha Clancy.

Bard's Maddy Huggins spoiled the Panthers' shutout bid as she broke through in the 23rd minute on an unassisted goal off the corner tapping it into the netting for her seventh tally of the season. In the 57th minute, Esposito upped the lead to 3-1 with a strike off a rebound from Kelsey Durkot. Durkot's assist was her team-leading eighth of the season.

Jennifer Kupfer went the fill 90 minutes in net for Old Westbury, making two saves. Bard keeper Amy Strawbridge took the loss after surrendering a trio of goals and made five stops.

OW maintained the 18-9 advantage in shots, while Bard held a 7-5 edge in corner kicks. Esposito's recorded her 12th multi-goal match of her prolific career and has now scored three goals in four games against Bard.

FARMINGDALE STATE UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 21), taking on the Farmingdale State Rams in a rivalry match on the road. Panthers and Rams kick-off at 4 p.m. in Farmingdale,, New York.
