www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team fell 3-0 to their Skyline Conference rival Farmingdale State Rams Thursday on the road at Rams field. OW fell to 10-6 overall and 6-2 in the Skyline Conference, while the Rams improved to 14-4 on the season and 8-1 in conference play.
Farmingdale State opened the scoring in the 38th minute as Corine Magee finished off a pass in front set up by Christina Merrill and Nora Connolly that went past OW keeper
Jennifer Kupfer for a 1-0 lead and the eventual match winner. The Rams ended the first half with the one goal lead and a 9-2 edge in shots. Each team took three corner kicks in the first half.
The Rams tucked away two more goals in the second frame. They made it 2-0 with a header on a Jamie Smith feed to Jillian Lasota at 68:28. It became 3-0 at the 81:19 when Anna-Marie Rivera connected on a shot from the corner past Kupfer.
Total shots were in favor of Farmingdale State 28-4 overall with shots going on goal 14-3 against the Panthers. Corner kicks were 11-3 in the Rams' favor, while fouls were whistled 8-6 against Farmingdale State.

Jarelis Torres each registered a shot on goal for Old Westbury.
Despite allowing three goals,
Jennifer Kupfer's stellar play in goal continued for Old Westbury as she corralled 11 saves to highlight the Panthers. Amanda Maass stopped three shots to earn the shutout for the Rams.

The Skyline Conference showdown is slated for 1 p.m. in Old Westbury, New York.
The events planned for the day include a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, Senior Day ceremony followed by a Skyline Conference women's soccer showdown at Panther Park. At 11:45, Old Westbury women's soccer and gameday staff along with breast cancer survivors and fans are scheduled to join in on the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. . One in nine women are affected by breast cancer and all participants will be asked to walk anywhere from one to nine laps around the field. Prior to kick-off, Old Westbury's lone senior
