OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team received goals from four different Panthers as OW scored three unanswered goals to close out the match en route to a 4-1 victory over the CCNY Beavers Saturday at Panther Park. It was the third-straight victory for the Green and Ivory, which improved to 7-5 on the season while CCNY slipped to 0-13.
OW outshot CCNY, 43-5, including a 21-3 edge in shots on goals, with Joanna Kettell leading the way with six. Chynna Pitlock started in net and finished with a pair of saves for her seventh victory of the season. CCNY's Natasha Matombo suffered the loss, making 17 stops and allowing four goals.

Old Westbury scored first at 23:05 when Victoria Stewart knocked in her fourth goal of the season after it was deflected off CCNY keeper Natasha Matombo. The Panthers outshot CCNY 18-1 in the opening half and went into halftime with a slim 1-0 advantage.

CCNY stormed out of the half as Frances Tapia evened the match at 1-1 at 46.52. Tapia scored off a free kick as she sent a roller past the outstretched arms of OW's Chynna Pitlock. That goal forced OW to raise its game, and it began to control the rest of the half, seizing control at 55:32 to go up for good. Cassandra Esposito netted her team-leading 11th goal of the season on an assist from Jennifer Kupfer for the 2-1 Panther lead. Old Westbury added an insurance goal at 78:33 to go up 3-1 when Victoria Stewart found Samantha Clancy, who flicked in her third goal of the season.

But the Panthers were not satisfied with the two goal lead. In the 84th minute, Melisa Diggins used her head to convert a feed from classmate Victoria Stewart to close out the scoring. Diggins' goal was the second of the season while Stewart's two assists tied her with Joanna Kettell for the team leading five helpers on the season.
