POMONA, NJ (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team's historic season came to an end in the First Round of the ECAC Metro/Upstate Championship Tournament with a 7-1 loss on the road at the top-seeded Richard Stockton Ospreys in Pomona, New Jersey. The Panthers finished its historic season with a program record 11-9 overall mark on the season.

Richard Stockton advances to the semifinal round in the tournament to play No. 5 SUNY Brockport Saturday in Pomona, New Jersey.

The first goal of the game came in the 35th minute on an unassisted score by Amanda Magana to put Richard Stockton up 1-0. Moments later, Rachel Carlson flick an assist over to Jessica McQuillen for the eventual game-winner at 44:32. Richard Stockton went into half time up 2-0, a lead the Ospreys would not relinquish.

Leah Pocoroba scored insurance goals in the 49th and 54th minute to put Richard Stockton up by four goals. Richard Stockton added three more goals before OW's Jennifer Kupfer broke the Panthers' scoring drought. Kupfer uncorked an unassisted laser that landed in the bacj of the net for her fourth goal of the game at the 85:52 mark.

At the conclusion of the match, Richard Stockton outplayed Old Westbury, holding the edge in shots, 20-7 and shots on target, 15-4. Both teams had a pair of corner kicks. OW keeper Stephanie Zornberg got the starting nod for the first time of her career, making eight saves while allowing seven goals in 90 minutes in front of the net. Richard Stockton goalies Sarah Hinkle, Brittany Boyle and Cara Parliament combined to make three saves on the Panthers. 

OW senior defender Tiffany Lester played in her final match as a Panther.
