(www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's volleyball team advanced to the Skyline Conference Semifinals with a 3-1 (25-17, 15-25, 25-20, 25-7) topping over the sixth-seeded Sage Gators. Panthers set a new program record with 24th win, surpassing the 2006 squad's 23-win season. 

Third-seed Old Westbury now moves on to the Semifinal/Championship Saturday in Newburgh, New York hosted by at Mount Saint Mary. Panthers will face the tournament's second seed, the NYU-Poly Fighting Blue Jays at 12:30 p.m.. The winner of Saturday's semifinal match will advance to the Championship match at 3 p.m.

Kristina Giordano once again led the way for Old Westbury, posting her team-leading 16th double-double of the season, combining 28 assists and 13 digs, adding six kills. Tonya Miller and Tanaya Vinson slammed down nine kills apiece to lead the hitting efforts followed by Tynisha Geoge and Ashley Greene, who added eight and seven kills, respectively. Greene served up a team-high three aces while Vinson added two.

Kimberly Catania scooped a team-best 17 digs and Nancy Apollonio chipped in with 13. Tonya Miller put on a blocking clinic, finishing with seven total blocks (4 solo, 6 assisted).
