WOMEN'S SOCCER POSTS 1-0 OVERTIME WIN OVER MOUNT SAINT MARY

OLD WESTBURY, NY
(www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team earned a Skyline Conference opening victory at home against the visiting Mount Saint Mary Knights Saturday afternoon at Panther Park.  OW stands at 2-4 on the season and 1-0 in conference play while Mount Saint Mary moved to 2-5 and 0-1.

Jennifer Kupfer scored the game-winner at 91:23 in the overtime giving the Panthers a 1-0 win over the Mount Saint Mary Knights to open the Skyline Conference slate.

The Panthers went into the overtime frame tied 0-0 with Mount Saint Mary, and Jennifer Kupfer uncorked a free kick that powered its way into the back of the net out of the reach of MSM keeper Megan Cotta for the victory. OW keeper Chynna Pitlock picked up her first shutout of the season while Megan Cotta took the loss.

KING'S (PA.) UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains at home Sunday for a non-conference matchup with the King's Monarchs at Panther Park. Kick-off is slated for 1 p.m. in Old Westbury, New York.
