www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – In the final match of the Best Western-Ground Round Cardinal Classic, SUNY College at Old Westbury women's volleyball swept the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-20). The win was the first of the two-day Best Western-Ground Round Cardinal Classic for the Panthers.

Kristina Giordano had her second double-double of the season with season-highs of 27 assists and 17 digs to go along with five blocks in the victory over SUNY Cobleskill.
Kimberly Catania registered a career-high 10 digs while Tynishia George had a team-high 12 kills and
Shakira Canty led the way with a career-best four aces.
Tonya Miller chipped in with eight kills and seven blocks.
OW opened play on Friday against St. Lawrence, suffering their first loss of the season, 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-13). Tynishia George posted her first double-double of the season, combining 11 kills on 25 kills to hit .400 and 12 digs.
Kristina Giordano handed out 14 assists and added eight digs.
Tonya Miller led the way with two blocks.
Against Buffalo State, Old Westbury fell 3-1 (10-25, 16-25, 25-23, 18-25) to wrap up play on Friday.

Old Westbury met the Baruch Bearcats to open play Saturday and were topped 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-19). The Panthers came out strong in the first set, but the Bearcats battled to hold onto the victory in three straight sets.
Kristina Giordano led all Old Westbury players with 14 assists and four aces.
Ashley Greene and
Tanaya Vinson paced OW in kills with seven and five, respectively.
Tonya Miller anchored the defense with six blocks. Tynishia George had a team-high six digs followed by Giordano and
Nancy Apollonio, who had four apiece.
Standing out on the stat sheet at the Best Western-Ground Round Cardinal Classic were
Kristina Giordano, who had 78 assists (6.0 p/set) 36 digs (2.7 p/set) and six aces along with
Tonya Miller's 18 blocks (1.3 p/set) and Tynishia George's 36 kills (2.7 p/set) and 27 digs ( 2.07 p/set).
