OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team received goals from three different players as the Panthers improved to 6-5 on the season with a 6-0 whitewashing of the John Jay Bloodhounds (4-11) Wednesday afternoon at Panther Park.  The Panthers recorded their second straight shutout, third straight win. 

Cassandra Esposito increased her season scoring total in the 35th minute with her 11th goal of the 2011 campaign, unassisted.  Esposito's goal tied her for the team lead in game-winners with Stephanie Maybie.  Old Westbury took a 1-0 lead into the break, outshooting John Jay, 20-2. 

Old Westbury scored five more goals over the final 45 minutes.  JoAnna Kettell scored back to back goals in the 51st and 64th minutes, assisted by Jennifer Kupfer and Stephanie Maybie, respectively.  Kettell's goals were her fifth and sixth of the season.  Jordan Schidt slotted a pass to Esposito in the 66th minute that rattled the back of the net for her second goal of the match.  Esposito assisted on Stephanie Maybie's fourth goal of the season in the 77th minute. Esposito's assist was her team-leading fifth of the season.  Old Westbury closed out the scoring in the 89th minute when Kupfer fed a cross to Esposito, who used her head for her 12th career hat trick.  Kupfer's two assists were her second and third of the season. 

Old Westbury goalie Heather Grosso recorded her first career shutout (Old Westbury's fourth of the season), making one save.  John Jay's Marcelina Kopec stopped 20 balls in defeat.  Old Westbury outshot John Jay, 37-4, including 6-0 on goal.  Old Westbury also controlled the corner, finishing with a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks. 

SAGE GATORS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pitch for a Skyline Conference battle at home, taking on the Sage Gators on Saturday (Oct. 15) in Old Westbury, New York. Kick-off is slated for 1 p.m. from Panther Park
