OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's volleyball team cruised past the visiting Farmingdale State Rams, 3-0 (25-22, 29-27, 25-11) on Wednesday night at the Clark Athletic Center.  Old Westbury heads into the weekend with a record of 17-12 and 5-4 in Skyline Conference play while Farmingdale State moves to 13-6 and 5-3, respectively. 

Kristina Giordano led the Panthers with 21 assists, 11 digs, five kills and four aces.  Tynisha George nailed down a team-best 10 kills, followed by Ruth Vargas and Ashley Greene, who finished with nine and eight, respectively.  Kimberly Catanaia scooped up a match-high 12 digs while Nancy Apollonio chipped in with 11. 
Holly Sahner led Farmingdale State with a match-high 11 kills while Sarah Palladino added 21 assists and four aces. 

Old Westbury came out on top after outhitting Farmingdale State .242 to -.037 for the match, including .444 to -.206 in the third-set.  OW finished with 35 kills, 11 errors and 99 total attacks to go along with five aces and three blocks.  Meanwhile, Farmingdale State earned 24 kills, 28 errors and 109 total attacks in addition to 10 aces.  The Panthers scooped up 55 defensive digs, while the Rams collected 33 digs during the match.

CCNY QUAD MATCH UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the court for the CCNY Quad-Match on Saturday (Oct. 22) in New York, New York.  Old Westbury opens with CCNY at 10 a.m., followed by Ramapo at 12 p.m. and conclude with New Jersey City at 2 p.m.
