Old Westbury set to make fifth straight trip to Skyline Conference Championship Tournament; Panthers hit the road for Saturday’s first round battle

PURCHASE, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's soccer team ended their 2011 regular season with a 6-0 loss at Manhattanville Wednesday afternoon from GoValiants.com Field.  The Panthers move to 6-11-1 on the season while Manhattanville improves to 14-3. 

For the fifth consecutive season, Old Westbury moves into the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament and will now wait on tomorrow's Maritime/Purchase matchup to determine their first round opponent.    

Manhattanville started the scoring at the 8:59 mark and never really let up, adding goals in the 19th and 28th minutes to take a 3-0 lead into the half. 
The Valiants added three second half goals in the 51st, 76th and 88th minutes to cap the scoring. 

Manhattanville held advantages in shots (34-7), shots on target (10-5) and corner kicks (11-2).  Old Westbury's Daniel Lazo made three saves in defeat while Jason
Torres (2 saves) and Zach Benton (3 saves) combined for the clean sheet for Manhattanville.
