www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team fell 4-0 in a home opening non-conference loss to the New Jersey City Gothic Knights Sunday afternoon. The loss moves Old Westbury to 1-3 on the season while New Jersey City climbed to 8-0.
Despite falling behind by one goal late in the first half, Old Westbury enjoyed a 10-7 advantage in shots in the first 45 minutes. Julia Caseres broke the scoring ice at 41:43 when Olympia Sciortino found her for the games initial score.
Caseres struck again in the 79th minute on an unassisted score for New Jersey City. New Jersey City scored in the 85th and 89th minutes to seal the victory on goals by Jennifer Albuja.

Caitlin Thomas made four saves in the game, while Brittany Hoffman made eight for New Jersey City. Old Westbury held a 19-14 advantage in shots and New Jersey City held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
