NEWBURGH, NY (
www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) –Fourth-seeded SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team was eliminated from the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament in the semifinal round with a 2-0 defeat on the road Friday afternoon at top-seeded Mount Saint Mary. Old Westbury concludes the season at 10-11 while Mount Saint Mary moves onto the championship game with a 16-2-1 record.
Shanice Robe broke the scoring ice early on with the eventual game-winner in the 12th minute, assisted by Marissa Segreto for a 1-0 lead. Mount Saint Mary took a one goal advantage into the half, outshooting Old Westbury 7-4. It wasn't until the 85th minute when Robe doubled the Mount Saint Mary advantage. Segreto was once again credited with the assist to Robe. Mount Saint Mary held Old Westbury without a shot in the second half, finishing the match with a 27-4 advantage in shots and a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.
