Box Score OLD WESTBURY, NJ (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) –   The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team fell 8-2 to NYU Sunday afternoon in non-conference action from Panther Park.  The Panthers are now 1-5 overall while the Bobcats moved to 3-2.

NYU got on the board in the 12th minute on a goal from Erin Ahmed, assisted by Melissa Menta.  Menta added another helper in the 15th minute a Cami Crawford score to double the Bobcat advantage.  NYU added goals by Serra Tumay (24:38, 28:36) and Ashley McKenzie (38:59) to close out the first-half with a 5-0 lead. 

NYU opened the second-half scoring with a goal by Haley San Giacomo in the 46th minute.  Stephanie Maybie put Old Westbury on the board in the 62nd minute with her team-leading fourth goal of the season, with the assist going to JoAnna Kettell, her first of the season.  After NYU replied with goals in the 81st and 89th minutes, Maybie collected her second assist of the year as Kettell buried her second-goal of the season at the 89:13 mark.  

NYU outshot the Panthers 26-10 and had 13 shots on goal to Old Westbury's five.  Heather Grosso had four saves in the first-half for the Panthers and Caitlin Thomas added one in the second-half.  Arianna Strome recorded three second-half saves for NYU.

STATEN ISLAND DOLPHINS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pitch for a non-conference battle on Tuesday afternoon, taking on the Staten Island Dolphins in Old Westbury, New York.  Kick-off is slated for 4 p.m. from Panther Park.
