OLD WESTBURY, NY
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) –   The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's soccer team earned a tough 1-0 home win over the Staten Island Dolphins on Monday afternoon from Panther Park.  Old Westbury scored a goal in the 35th minute and hung on from there to record the win.  The victory marked the first of the season for the Panthers, who improve to 1-9 on the season while Staten Island moved to 5-5.

The goal came at the 34:53 minute mark when Michael Mosher recorded his team-leading second assist of the season, setting up Tana Weekes for his team-best third goal of the season.  Weekes' game-winner was his second career. 

The Dolphins registered 21 shots in the contest, posting seven on goal.  Old Westbury tallied 14 shots, including seven on target.  Old Westbury keeper Peter Sicardi recorded his first career shutout, making seven saves. 

SAGE GATORS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pitch for a Skyline Conference battle on Saturday afternoon, taking on the visiting Sage Gators in Old Westbury, New York.  Kick-off is slated for 1 p.m. from Panther Park.
