RIVERDALE, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) -  The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's soccer team scored all three of its goals in the second-half en route to a 3-2 Skyline Conference road victory against the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins on Saturday evening from Gaelic Field.  The win improved the Panthers (7-5-2) to 3-2-1 in conference action while sending the Dolphins (10-4) to 1-4.  The seventh win for Old Westbury set a single season best for third-year head coach Jamie San Filippo.
Victory Ramirez broke the scoring ice in the 12th minute off a penalty kick to put the Dolphins ahead early on.

Old Westbury trailed until Anthony Ippolito found Adan Cruz-Velasquez for his team-leading eighth goal of the season in the 59th minute to level the score.  Ippolito tied a career-high with his team-leading fifth assist of the season.

Just over 10 minutes later, Jorge Chavez reclaimed the lead for the Dolphins with his sixth score of the season in the 69th minute for a 2-1 lead.

Dan Giorgi knotted the game at 2-all in the 74th minute on a penalty kick.  With just 52 second left in the second-half, Giorgi delivered his first career game-winner, which came via the penalty kick.  Giorgi remains perfect in six career penalty kicks.

Old Westbury keeper Marcelo Guardado earned the win after making one save and allowing two goals as his scoreless streak ended at 323 minutes.  Guardado's counterpart David Melchor made nine saves in defeat for the Dolphins.

In the end, Old Westbury held a 24-9 advantage in shots (12-3 on goal) and 7-2 edge in corner kicks.

YESHIVA MACCABEES UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury looks to grab its fourth-consecutive conference victory when they host the Yeshiva  Maccabees on Tuesday (Oct. 15). Kickoff is slated for 7:35 p.m. from MacArthur High School in Levittown, New York.
