OLD WESTBURY, NY
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team needed double overtime to earn the home win against the New Jersey City Gothic Knights on Saturday afternoon from Panther Park.  The win evened Old Westbury's record to 2-2 on the season while sending the Gothic Knights to 1-2-1.  Old Westbury is now 4-1 all-time against New Jersey City.

JoAnna Kettell scored the game-winning goal for the Panthers in the 106th minute.

Today's game was Old Westbury's first double overtime match since November 1, 2011, when the Panthers earned a 4-3 shootout win over Purchase.  At the end of 90 minutes, Old Westbury out shot New Jersey City 24-6, but neither team could find the back of the net.

The Panthers also out shot the Gothic Knights in overtime 9-1.  Caitlin Thomas made two saves on the day for her 10th career shutout.  Kettell's goal was her third goal of the season and fourth career game-winner.  Cassie Lubonski made eight saves in the final 60:13 for New Jersey City after relieving Brittany Hoffman, who tallied three saves.

RAMAPO ROADRUNNERS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pitch for a non-conference battle on Wednesday afternoon, when they hit the road to clash with the Ramapo Roadrunners.  Kick-off is slated for 4 p.m. in Mahwah, New Jersey.
