www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team scored three second half goals to secure a 3-0 home win against the Sage Gators to open Skyline Conference play Friday afternoon from Panther Park. Old Westbury evened up their record at 3-3 while sending Sage to 1-4 on the season and 0-1 in conference action.
After a scoreless opening half that saw Old Westbury hold a 13-0 advantage in shots,
Stephanie Maybie broke the scoring ice in the 60th minute on a pass from
Kassandra Franco for a 1-0 Panther lead. Moments later,
JoAnna Kettell doubled Old Westbury's advantage in the 68th minute off a feed from
Emily Winberry. Kettell closed out the scoring books off Franco's second helper of the game at the 89:24 mark. The multi-goal game was the 11th of Kettell's career.

Caitlin Thomas made two saves on the day to record her 11th clean sheet of her career, improving to 3-3 on the season. Teagan Waddingham grabbed 10 saves in net for Sage.
The Panthers held the edge in shots (30-3) and corners (3-2).
MANHATTANVILLE VALIANTS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pitch for a non-conference battle with the visiting Manhattanville Valiants on Wednesday (Sept. 25) in Old Westbury, New York. Kick-off is set for 3 p.m. from Panther Park.
