OLD WESTBURY, NY (
www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team won their fourth consecutive game Monday afternoon with an impressive 11-0 victory over the visiting York Cardinals at Panther Park.
Forwards
JoAnna Kettell and
Monika Santelli led the way, scoring a hat-trick each. For Kettell, it was her 13th career multi-goal game, and the trio of tallies extended the senior's goal-scoring streak to six games.
For Santelli, it was her first career Old Westbury hat-trick. The senior also played keeper in the second half and made three saves.
Among the other goal scorers were
Jasmine Kerby—who found the back of the net twice—
Emily Winberry—who scored for the third time this season—
Nicole Hallahan and
Stephanie Maybie, who registered her seventh of the year.
Maybie also picked up two assists, as did junior winger
Jordan Schildt.
All in all, it was an offensive master class for the Panthers, who outshot the Cardinals 38-4. Starting keeper
Caitlin Thomas and relief keeper Santelli were left with little to do between the sticks.
With the win, Old Westbury improves to 6-3 in all competitions.
