@OW_Panthers Women’s Volleyball collides with Yeshiva in pivotal Skyline Conference match

Old Westbury closes out its road schedule on Thursday in Skyline Conference action at Maritime


NEW YORK, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's volleyball team dropped a pivotal three-set Skyline Conference match on Tuesday evening to the Yeshiva Maccbees with 25-14, 25-21 and 25-7 set scores from Baruch College's Arc Arena.  With the loss, Old Westbury (2-17) moves into seventh place in the Skyline Conference standings at 2-4 on the season while Yeshiva (1-15) improved to 1-5. 

Olivia O'Keefe paced the Panthers with four kills to go along with six digs and one service ace.  Elizabeth Ozuna, Emily Winberry, Sara Bey and Caitlin Thomas each served up one ace, while Thomas dished out three assists.  Winberry scooped up a match-high 10 digs as Ozuna and Bey added four and three, respectively. 

Emily Rohan led Yeshiva with five service aces and seven kills in 13 swings while Aliza Muller went for 11 assists, five kills and three service aces.  

The Panthers hit -.257 on the night as Yeshiva hit at a .175 clip.  Old Westbury outdug Yeshiva 26-12 as the Maccabees served up 17 service aces to Old Westbury's five.  

MARITIME PRIVATEERS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains on the road for Thursday's (Oct. 30) Skyline Conference showdown with the Maritime Privateers at 7:30 p.m. from Riesenberg Gymnasium in Throggs Neck, New York.
