BROOKLYN, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's volleyball battled the Medgar Evers Cougars for the second time this season and fell in three sets, 25-13, 26-24 and 25-10, from Cougars Cave in non-conference action Tuesday evening.  

Ruth Vargas led Old Westbury three kills, two aces, five digs and one block while Fareeda Roushdy went for three kills and six digs.  Elizbeth Ozuna directed the Panther offense with five assists and Rayn Brown added nine digs and one ace.

Kiwelewa Milimwengu nailed down a match-high 13 kills while AnnMarie Bemberry captained the Cougar offense with 20 assists.  Milimwengu and Bemberry each served up six aces.  Milimwengu and Kalifa Roberts scooped up 13 and 12 digs, respectively. 
 
In the end Medgar Evers hit .167 on 23 kills, 11 attacking errors and 72 total attacks while Old Westbury hit .039 with eight kills, six attacking errors and 51 total attacks.

SKYLINE CONFERENCE TRI-MATCH AGAINST ST. JOSEPH'S (L.I.) AND FARMINGDALE STATE UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 4) against the St. Joseph's (L.I.) Golden Eagles and Farmingdale State Rams in Skyline Conference action from Patchogue, New York.  Old Westbury opens with St. Joseph's (L.I.) at 12 p.m. followed by Farmingdale State at 2 p.m. from Danzi Center.
