OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team improved to 2-0 on the season for the first time in program history with Wednesday's home opening 12-0 non-conference victory from Panther Park.  Stephanie Maybie also made headlines, scoring her fifth career hat trick, finishing with a career-best four goals to become the third player in program history to score 50 career goals.

Jordan Schildt broke the scoring ice 32 seconds into the match to put the Panthers up for good.  Maybie then added goals at 8:29, 25:05 and 29:23 to make it a 4-0 game.  Kassandra Franco scored her first goal of the season at 32:41 to close out the first-half scoring as Old Westbury held a 5-0 advantage at the half, including a 20-1 margin in shots. 

Maybie opened the second-half scoring at 46:10 with her sixth goal of the season to register her 50th career goal.  Additional goals by Mayra Bonilla (58:19), Schildt (60:20), Dana Yool (71:06), Lucia Mejia (81:59), Floriselda Zuniga (83:12) and Melissa Outsen (85:50) helped set a single-game program record for goals scored.   

Yool, Bonilla and Emily Winberry each recorded a pair of assists while Schildt, Franco and Outsen added one.

Goalies Caitlin Thomas and Melissa Muller combined for Old Westbury's shutout.  Andrea Antoni allowed eight goals and made eight saves while Nicole DiNardo surrendered four goals while making three saves over the final 24:34 of play in net for John Jay

In the end, Old Westbury held the advantage in shots (38-2), shots on goal (23-1) and corner kicks (9-0).

FDU-FLORHAM DEVILS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury hits the road on Friday (Sept. 5) for a non-conference matchup against the FDU-Florham Devils at 7 p.m. from Robert T. Shields Field in Madison, New Jersey.
