Guidice’s hat trick propels @OW_Panthers Men’s Soccer past St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn)

Old Westbury moves to 3-1-0 in the conference standings with its third-straight win

LEVITTOWN, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer found the scoring touch, pouring in three goals in each half en route to picking up a 6-0 Skyline Conference win over the St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) Bears from General MacArthur High School in Levittown, New York.

Dominick Guidice recorded eight points on three goals and two assists to lead the team.  Guidice broke the scoring ice in the 27th minute off a feed from Tana Weekes for his fourth career game-winning goal.  Seaton Cole then found Guidice in the 41st minute to double the Panthers' (3-7-0, 3-1-0 Skyline) advantage.  It wasn't long before the Panthers tallied another one, as Guidice slotted a pass to Brian Schanel, who buried it to close out the first-half scoring at 42:56.

To open the second half, Guidice distributed his second helper of the day to increase Old Westbury's lead to four with Ryan Finnin's goal at 56:48.  Guidice would later finish a pass from Jon Kerby in the 75th minute for a breakaway goal before Schanel closed out the scoring in the 88th minute with his sixth-career goal.

Peter Sicardi (3-7-0) made two saves to keep the Bears off the board with his fifth-career clean sheet.  Nolan Parr (0-6-1) conceived all six goals and totaled five saves in defeat for the Bears (0-7-1, 0-4-0).

In the end, Old Westbury held the edge in shots (25-13), shots on goal (11-2) and corner kicks (5-4).
