OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer jumped out to a program-best 3-0 start in Skyline Conference play with Friday's record-setting 14-0 win over the visiting St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) Bears from Panther Park.

Jessica Tuckruskye broke the scoring ice in the seventh minute with her first-career goal to beat Izabella Armstrong (1-2-0) for the game winner. Melissa Outsen followed with her first of two goals on the day in the ninth minute to double Old Westbury's advantage. Edania Martinez, Alyssa Quick, Dana Yool, Stephanie Chakiryan and Michelle Ventimiglia each added first-half goals while Lucia Mejia found the back of the net in the 33rd and 39th minutes to give the Panthers a 9-0 lead at the break.

Old Westbury opened the second-half scoring 2:19 into play when Outsen found Tuckruskye to make it a 10-0 game. Cansu Usta hit the crossbar at 55:37 to put the Bears in the shot column. Quick and Outsen netted goals in the 58th and 61st minutes, respectively, before Tuckruskye collected the hat trick off a feed from Sara Bey in the 65th minute. Ventimiglia assisted on Martinez's goal in the 80th minute to close out the scoring books. Alicia Pirone stopped Usta's shot in the 83rd minute for Old Westbury's lone save on the day.

Ventimiglia broke Old Westbury's single-game record in the 87th minute with her 10th shot on goal to surpass Stephanie Maybie's mark of nine (Sept. 25, 2014 vs. Manhattanville).

In the end, Old Westbury set single-game program records for goals, points (34), shots (70) and shots on goal (40).

Melissa Muller (4-3-0) and Pirone combined to earn Old Westbury's third-straight shutout while Armstrong turned away 26 shots in defeat for the Bears.

BROOKLYN BULLDOGS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to action next Thursday (Oct. 1) at home to welcome the Brooklyn Bulldogs to Panther Park for a non-conference showdown at 4 p.m.
