PURCHASE, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball led for the final 35:55 en route to securing Saturday's 82-57 Skyline Conference road win over the Purchase Panthers inside Purchase College Gymnasium. Old Westbury (12-3) won its third-straight game to improve to 7-1 in conference play while sending Purchase (1-15) to 1-8.

After trailing by a game-high two points (6-4) 2:07 into first-half action, Raven Pentz's jumper sparked Old Westbury's 10-0 run to take control of the game for good. Purchase did not back down as Elizabeth Osowiecki's three pointer capped an 11-3 run to tie the game at 17. Monique Joseph dropped in a layup to give Old Westbury a 19-17 lead heading into the second period.

Old Westbury used a 10-2 run from 7:43 to 1:21 to take a 31-22 lead and settled for a 34-26 advantage at intermission.

Jasmine Robinson landed a three pointer with 6:49 showing on the third-quarter clock to build Old Westbury's lead to 12 points (46-34), a double-digit cushion that would hold for the final 16:49 of play.

Old Westbury's 16-3 spurt in the fourth period extended its lead to a game-high 32 points (79-47) with 5:10 left.

Crystal Barnes led the way for Old Westbury with career highs of 29 points (12-of-15 FG) and 19 rebounds to go along with two blocks and one steal to register her 17th career double-double (seventh of the season). Robinson and Pentz each followed with 13 points while Robinson nabbed three steals and Olivia Ilardi went for two. Alexis Lopez went for career highs of eight points and eight rebounds off the bench.

Osowiecki and Sierra Sangetti-Daniels each totaled 12 points while Frances Minaya added 11 for Purchase.

Old Westbury landed 43.2 percent (33-of-78) from the field, 26.7 percent (4-of-15) from three-point territory and 44.4 percent (12-of-27) from the free-throw line. By comparison, Purchase hit on 36.2 percent (25-of-69) from the floor, 20 percent (3-of-15) from long distance and 33.3 percent (4-of-12) from the charity stripe. Old Westbury finished with a commanding +26 (63-37) rebounding margin, scoring 34 second-chance points off 29 offensive rebounds. The visitors also converted 17 Purchase turnovers into 16 points.
