OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer scored early to put away the visiting SUNY Maritime Privateers (4-15-0, 1-8-0 Skyline) with a 6-0 Skyline Conference Breast Cancer Awareness win to close out their 2016 season inside Panther Park.

Edania Martinez broke the scoring ice 1:43 in off a feed from Christine Fernandez for her seventh-career game-winning goal to give Old Westbury (6-9-1, 3-6-0 Skyline) a 1-0 lead. Moments later, Martinez sent a pass to Sarah Roslonowski to double Old Westbury's advantage in the 17th minute. Melissa Outsen then found Martinez in the 20th minute to make it a three-score game heading into the half.

Roslonowski opened the second-half scoring 36 seconds in for the breakaway goal to finish off Mayra Bonilla's career-best seventh assist of the season. Lucia Mejia found the back of the net in the 56th and 68th minutes off feeds from Outsen and Alicia Pirone, respectively, to settle the 6-0 final.

In the end, Old Westbury held the edge in shots (35-6), shots on goal (23-1) and corner kicks (18-0).

Jessica Tuckruskye (3-5-0) made one first-half save to earn Old Westbury's win before Sara Bey and Cara Normile split time in goal to preserve the team's fifth shutout of the season. Cammie Havens (4-15-0) stopped 17 shots in defeat for Maritime.
