@OW_Panthers Women’s Soccer closes out Skyline road trip at Farmingdale State

Old Westbury returns home for Friday’s Skyline Conference showdown with Yeshiva

FARMINGDALE, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer wrapped up its two-game road trip Wednesday with a 6-0 Skyline Conference loss to the Farmingdale State College Rams (1-5-3, 1-0-0) in Farmingdale, New York.

The Rams registered the game's opening six shots as goals were fired from Taylor Howard (9:24) and Destiny Pomarico (15:21) past Panther (1-4-0, 0-2-0) goalie Mary Clark to take control of play early on.  Melissa Outsen put Old Westbury in the shot column in the 17th minute as the Panthers continued to pressure Ram goalie Daniella Ford with an attempt from Cara Normile in the 20th minute.  Edasia Martinez and Erika Anzalone found the back of the net in the 20th and 45th minutes, respectively, to send Farmingdale State into intermission with a 4-0 lead.

Farmingdale State tacked on goals in the 58th and 80th minutes past Jessica Tuckruskye to settle the 6-0 final.

Normile paced Old Westbury with a career-high two shots on target as Farmingdale State held the advantage in shots (39-4), shots on goal (20-4) and corner kicks (3-1).

Clark (1-3-0) made five saves in the opening half before Tuckruskye stopped nine of the 22 second-half shots.  Ford (1-3-2) made three saves and Ashley Monzillo recorded one in the final 45 minutes of play to preserve the Rams' win.

YESHIVA UNIVERSITY MACCABEES UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS:  Old Westbury returns home Friday (Sept. 23) for a Skyline Conference showdown at 11 a.m. with the Yeshiva University Maccabees from Panther Park.
