OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer scored a pair of second-half goals to take Saturday's 3-2 home opener against the visiting Mount Aloysius Mounties (1-1-0) in non-conference action from Panther Park.

Dominick Guidice finished a feed from Stephen Locurcio in the fifth minute to break the ice for Old Westbury's early 1-0 lead. Mount Aloysius answered with goals by Thomas Sloan and John Ouellette in the 30th and 34th minutes, respectively, to take a 2-1 lead into intermission.

James Marchena found Adan Velasquez in the 61st minute for the game-tying goal. Marchena later sent a corner to Eric Ragogna, who headed home the game-winning goal in the 68th minute past a diving Allister Noronha (0-1-0).

Guidice and Velasquez led the Panthers with three shots as Old Westbury finished with the advantage in shots (15-9) and shots on target (5-4) while Mount Aloysius won the battle in the corner, 8-3.

Mike Warren (1-0-1) made two saves to secure Old Westbury's win. Noronha stopped two shots in 77 minutes of action.

NEW PALTZ HAWKS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains at home Wednesday (Sept. 7) to take on the New Paltz Hawks in non-conference action at 4 p.m. from Panther Park.
