@OW_Panthers Women’s Volleyball wraps up four-game Skyline road trip at Farmingdale State

Old Westbury remains on the road Thursday (Oct. 12) for a non-conference tilt at The City College of New York

FARMINGDALE, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball fell in three sets (25-17, 25-17, 25-14) Tuesday evening to the Farmingdale State College Rams (12-7, 3-0 Skyline) in Skyline Conference road action from Walter A. Lynch Sports Center in Farmingdale, New York. 

Old Westbury (9-9, 1-5 Skyline) hit .185 in the second stanza to register its best hitting set of the match before finishing at a .121 clip.  Farmingdale State hit .295 while holding the advantage in kills (41-20), aces (11-3) blocks (6-5), assists (38-16) and digs (32-26).

Sidasia Johnson totaled five kills, 2.5 blocks and one ace to pace Old Westbury.  Marie McKenzie hit a team-leading .375 with four kills on eight swings.  Kristin Grieshaber's nine assists moved the offense while Kyraleigh Zinnel followed with six assists and served two aces.  Daesha Garrison posted three block assists and Sofia Goris scooped nine digs to pace the Panther defense. 

Lauren Anne Strezenec's 32 assists captained the Farmingdale State offense as Maia Cadle-Hinton and Julia Hande nailed down 14 and 11 kills, respectively.  Stephanie Etersque served four of the team's 11 aces.  Hande added a match-high 11 digs.

THE CITY COLLEGE OF NEW YORK BEAVERS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains on the road Thursday (Oct. 12) against The City College of New York Beavers (3-15) at 7 p.m. in non-conference action from Nat Holman Gymnasium in Manhattan.
