OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer earned a convincing 7-1 Skyline Conference win over the visiting Yeshiva University Maccabees (5-8-0, 1-7-0 Skyline) on Senior Day from Panther Park. With one game remaining in the regular season, Old Westbury currently sits in sixth place in the league standings.

Prior to kickoff, seniors Peter Broste (2017), Kasey Espinoza (2017), Jesse Eyoma (2013-14, 2017), Jose Gomez (2014-17) and Dominick Guidice (2014-17) were honored with Old Westbury's annual Senior Day Ceremony for their dedication to SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer.

Guidice gave Old Westbury (8-5-3, 4-3-1 Skyline) a 1-0 lead by finishing a run from Jorey Garcia in the 35th minute to net his second goal of the season (37th of career). With 1:19 remaining in the period, Garcia blasted a penalty kick past Yeshiva goalie Max Goldstein (5-8-0) to double Old Westbury's advantage heading into intermission to score his team-leading 10th goal of the season. The game-winning goal for Garcia was his fourth of the season. Guidice took four shots in the opening stanza to give the Panthers a 15-4 first-half advantage in shots.

Old Westbury wasted little time in the second half to build on its lead 4:02 in with a goal by Garcia to make it a 3-0 game. Moments later, Garcia assisted on Alexander Routledge's goal in the 52nd minute before completing his first-career hat trick in the 57th minute off a feed from Ronald Monge to push the lead to five. Espinoza and Guidice then assisted on Edens Avril's goal in the 65th minute to make it a six-goal game. The lead grew to seven in the 68th minute off Routledge's pass to Espinoza for his first-career goal. Yeshiva broke through in the 80th minute as Julian Ribak sent a free kick past the Panther defense to score on goalie Kevin Driscoll to settle the 7-1 final.

Panther goalie Mike Warren (8-5-3) made one first-half save to earn the win before Driscoll stopped two shots in the second half. Goldstein collected five saves in defeat for Yeshiva.

In the end, Old Westbury outplayed Yeshiva in shots (27-9), shots on goal (12-5) and corner kicks (7-3).

ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE (BROOKLYN) BEARS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury closes out regular-season play Wednesday (Oct. 25) at home versus the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) Bears (1-13-1, 0-8-0 Skyline) at 3 p.m. from Panther Park.
