MAHWAH, NJ --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse dropped a 14-8 non-conference road decision Saturday afternoon to the Ramapo College Roadrunners (4-3) from Athletic Center Turf in Mahwah, New Jersey.

Colleen Manley broke the scoring ice 4:43 in to give Ramapo the early 1-0 advantage. Brianna Himpele beat Old Westbury (0-5) netminder Ashley Gugliuzzo (0-5) 27 seconds later to double the Roadrunners' advantage (2-0). Taylor Guarneri put Old Westbury on the board with her third goal of the season to slice the deficit in half with 20:16 left. Danielle Weir followed with the equalizer at 17:17 before Natasha Treuman found the back of the net 1:15 later to give the Panthers their lone lead of the game (3-2). Trailing 5-3, Weir scored her sixth goal of the season with 11:04 left before Sara Bey's tally knotted the game at five with 6:05 remaining. Manley scored the game-winning goal with 2:43 showing on the first-half clock to make it a 9-5 game as part of a 5-0 run over the final 5:08 that sent the Roadrunners into the break with a 10-5 advantage.

Old Westbury opened the second half with a 3-0 run behind a pair of Treuman goals (14th and 15th of season) and Jessica Tuckruskye's first score of the season to trim the lead to two (10-8) with 23:08 left. Alyssa Tachon scored three of Ramapo's final four goals to settle the 14-8 final.

In addition to her hat trick, Treuman added three ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw control. Bey chipped in with three draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers while Weir added one draw control. Imani Blake scooped three ground balls and caused one turnover. Gugliuzzo finished with 11 saves and added seven ground balls and six caused turnovers to her statline.

Tachon finished with a game-high six goals to lead Ramapo. Manley followed with three goals as Gabi Davidson added eight draw controls, seven ground balls, six caused turnovers. Taylor Marcialis and Monica Bubello combined to make 12 saves to secure Ramapo's win.

PURCHASE COLLEGE PANTHERS UP NEXT FOR OLD WESTBURY: Old Westbury returns home next Tuesday (Mar. 28) to open Skyline Conference play against the Purchase College Panthers (1-1, 0-0- Skyline) at 3 p.m. from Panther Park.
