NEWBURGH, NJ --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse claimed a 10-9 Skyline Conference road overtime victory over the Mount Saint Mary College Knights (3-6, 2-2 Skyline) Tuesday evening from Kaplan Field. WIth the win, Old Westbury improves to 4-8 overall and 3-1 in league play.

Rachel Phillips broke the scoring ice 1:52 in to give Old Westbury the early 1-0 advantage. Katie Gattoni responded with the equalizer for Mount Saint Mary 24 seconds later and scored again at 16:51 in a man-up situation to push the Knights lead 2-1. Danielle Weir scored her 15th goal of the season 34 seconds later for the Panthers to knot the game at two (2-2). Natasha Treuman found the back of the net at 15:54 and again with 12:50 remaining in the first half for Old Westbury to take a 4-2 lead. Olivia Green netted a goal for Mount Saint Mary to pull within one (4-3) with 7:33 left. Taylor Guarneri put away a goal with 29 seconds left in the opening half to send the Panthers into intermission with a 5-3 edge.

Old Westbury continued its strong play after Trueman put a goal past Knight goalie Amanda Picillo 47 seconds into the second half. Sara Bey followed at 6:55 with her 28th goal of the season to extend the Panther lead to a game-high four goals (7-3). Mount Saint Mary battled to trim the deficit with two goals courtesy of Julia Fitzpatrick at 22:41 and Christina Ryan at 19:34 to make it a 7-5 game. Treuman continued her dominance by netting her 34th and 35th goals of the season 16 seconds later and again 17:05 showing on the second half clock to push Old Westbury's lead back up to four (9-5). The Knights used a 5-0 spurt in the final 13:14 of regulation and send the game into overtime tied at nine.

Old Westbury capitalized on a Mount Saint Mary turnover and foul in the opening minute of extra period. With five minutes showing on the clock, Treuman finished a feed from Weir to record her 36th goal of the season and the game-winning goal to settle the 10-9 final.

Treuman finished with game-highs of six points (six goals on nine shots) and four draw controls to go with four ground balls and one caused turnover for Old Westbury. Guarneri followed with game-high six ground balls to go with one goal, one caused turnover and draw control. Ashley Gugliuzzo (4-6) made five saves and scooped up five ground balls in the win.

Gattoni paced Mount Saint Mary with five points (four goals on five shots), three draw controls, two ground balls and one caused turnover. Ryan chipped in two goals and two balls while Picillo (3-6) stopped eight shots, caused three turnovers and grabbed three ground balls in the defeat for the Knights.

THE SAGE COLLEGES GATORS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury travels to Albany, New York next Wednesday (Apr. 19) for a Skyline Conference showdown versus the Sage Colleges Gators at 4 p.m. from Albany College of Pharmacy Athletics Field
