OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury Women's Lacrosse collected a 12-4 Skyline Conference Senior Day victory over the visiting College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins (1-11, 0-6 Skyline) Saturday Afternoon inside Panther Park.

Prior to opening faceoff, seniors Sam Rubi (2017), Imani Blake (2015, 2017) and Sara Bey (2014-17) were honored with Old Westbury's annual Senior Day Ceremony for their dedication to SUNY Old Westbury Athletics.

Old Westbury (5-8, 4-2 Skyline) broke the scoring ice and sparked a 7-0 run after Halle Johnson finished a feed from Bey 5:42 in the first half for the early 1-0 lead. 3:38 later, Bey netted a goal of her own to double the Panthers advantage (2-0). Old Westbury continued to add to the scoring from 20:14 to 12:28 after Taylor Guarneri, Rachel Phillips and Johnson each found the back of the net to extend the lead to five (5-0). At 10:27, Blake puts one on the board in a man-up situation before Phillips put away a goal with 52 seconds remaining for the Panthers to head into intermission with a 7-0 lead.

Old Westbury continued to apply pressure as Phillips completed the hat trick 8:59 in the second half before Danielle Weir scored 48 seconds later to make it a 9-0 game. Mount Saint Vincent responded with three-straight goals from 18:48 to 14:25, including two from Meg Merrell to pull within six (9-3). Natasha Treuman would net her 37th goal of the season at 11:20 before Phillips netted her fourth goal of the game 1:30 later to push the Panthers lead back up to eight (11-3). Merrell completed the hat trick to slice the deficit for the Dolphins to seven (11-4) with 5:18 remaining. In the last 18 seconds, Bey received a feed from Treuman and scored her 35th goal of the season to settle the 12-4 final.

Phillips finished with game-high four points on four goals to pace Old Westbury. Treuman followed with game-high five ground balls to go with one goal, two draw controls and two caused turnovers. Johnson chipped in with two goals and three draw controls. Ashley Gugliuzzo made eight saves to secure the win.

Merrell paced Mount Saint Vincent with three goals on three shots to record three points. Alicia Forgione added one goal four draw controls and two ground balls while Gabriella Marinese stopped 14 shots in the defeat.

FARMINGDALE STATE COLLEGE RAMS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury concludes the home portion of the regular season on Tuesday (Apr. 25) in a Skyline Conference showdown versus the Farmingdale State College Rams at 3 p.m. from Panther Park
