KENILWORTH, NJ --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's golf opened the 2017-18 season Saturday afternoon against the New Jersey City University Gothic Knights and Purchase College Panthers from the 6,273 yard, par 71 Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, New Jersey. Old Westbury combined to shoot 372 (+88) in falling to New Jersey City (342, +58) and Purchase (343, +59).

Ian Rostrup paced Old Westbury with a score of 88 (+17) to finish seventh overall. Henry Brunjes IV fired a round of 91 (+20) to finish tied for ninth while Jonathan DeRosa's 94 (+23) placed 11th. Brandon Murphy (99, +28) and Kevin Dumas (100, +29) finished 13-14.

Purchase's Camden Fix shot a high-round 73 (+2) while Daniel Natoli's 78 (+7) was good enough to finish in second place for New Jersey City.

YESHIVA UNIVERSITY MACCABEES UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury is scheduled to tee off next against the Yeshiva University Maccabees on Sunday (Sept. 10) at 1 p.m. from Pelham Bay Golf Course in Bronx.
