OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball concluded their three-game homestand on Tuesday evening with a dominant 76-33 Skyline Conference victory over the Farmingdale State College Rams (0-5, 0-2 Skyline) inside Clark Athletic Center. The Panthers (7-0, 2-0 Skyline) have won their first seven games for the second-consecutive year while improving to 9-0 against the Rams dating back to the 2015-16 season.

Four different Panthers contributed to a 9-0 run to open the game. Charlotte Renker sank a pair of free throws with 6:26 left in the first period to give Old Westbury a double-digit lead, 12-1. Playing with a double-digit lead for the final 36:26, Old Westbury grew its advantage to 20 (25-5) as Cassandra Chery stroked a jumper with 47 seconds remaining on the first-quarter clock. Leading 25-6 after 10 minutes, Old Westbury nabbed eight steals and scored 13-fastbreak points in the second stanza to take a 26-point cushion (41-15) into the half.

The Panthers continued to step on the gas in the second half by outscoring the Rams by 17 (35-18) in the final 20 minutes. Renker made it a 31-point game (52-31) with 5:32 remaining in the third quarter while Phalan Smith's jumper settled the 76-33 final by growing the lead to a game-high 43 points with 1:11 left.

Monique Joseph finished with a game-high 14 points to go along with 11 rebounds (six offensive) and four steals to post her 17th-career double-double (second of season). Renker followed with 11 points (7-of-8 FT) and 15 rebounds to register her 33rd-career double-double (fifth of season). Tori Bellings dished out seven assists while Alexis Lopez and Alessia Drevnyak nabbed three steals each.

Stacy Papantoniou paced Farmingdale State with 10 points (4-of-6 FG, 2-of-3 3FG) and five rebounds while Nia Miller directed the Rams offense with seven dimes.

Old Westbury hit on 40.3 percent (27-of-67) from the field, 30.8 percent (4-of-13) from beyond the arc and 85.7 (18-of-21) from the free-throw line. Farmingdale State connected on 21.3 percent (10-of-47), 22.2 percent (4-of-18) from the three-point line and 52.9 (9-of-17) from the charity stripe. The Panthers held a +24 rebound margin (54-30) while scoring 20 second chance points off 19 offensive rebounds. Old Westbury outplayed Farmingdale State in assists (18-10), steals (14-6), points in the paint (34-4), fastbreak points (26-2), bench points (24-6) while scoring 33 points off 29 turnovers. The Rams held the edge in blocks (3-2).

MOUNT SAINT MARY COLLEGE KNIGHTS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury hits the road on Saturday (Dec. 8) for a Skyline Conference showdown against the Mount Saint Mary College Knights (5-2, 3-0 Skyline) at 1 p.m. from Kaplan Center in Newburgh, New York. The Panthers are 2-2 on the road against the Knights since the 2015-16 campaign.
