OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury baseball rallied in the ninth and came away with a 10-9 non-conference home win in 10 innings over the Lehman College Lightning (14-15) Friday afternoon from Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex. Old Westbury (13-13-1) is now 14-1 versus Lehman since 2007.

After Lehman posted seven runs in the third inning on Panther starter Ryan Dunbar (ND, 3 IP, 7 H, 7 R, 2 ER, 3 BB), Old Westbury answered in the bottom of the frame with a Jesse Russo (2-for-6, 2 RBI, R, SB) two-out RBI double followed by Liam Slattery's (3-for-5, 3 RBI, R) run-scoring single to make it a 7-2 game. Russo has now hit safely in 14 games (ties career-high).

Trailing 8-2 in the sixth inning, John Condon (2-for-5, 2 RBI, R) doubled to drive in John Fogarty (3-for-5, 2 R) and scored two batters later on a Mike Manetta sacrifice fly to slice the deficit to four.

Carlo Francisco singled home Mark Vargas off Panther reliever William Amendola (4 IP, 4 H 2 R, 2 BB, 2 K) in the seventh inning to increase their lead to four (9-5).

Old Westbury scored one in the seventh and four in the ninth as Peter Capel's two-out RBI single advanced Fogarty home to send the game to extra innings.

With Jonathan Dastagirzada on second base, Russo hit a two-out walk-off double off reliever Jarret Oehler (L, 4-5: 3 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, K) to settle the 10-9 final in 10 innings.

Chris Sanicola (1-0) fanned three batters (one walk) and allowed one hit in three scoreless innings of relief to earn Old Westbury's win.

COLLEGE OF MOUNT SAINT VINCENT DOLPHINS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury (5-5 Skyline) remains at home Saturday (Apr. 21) for a Skyline Conference doubleheader against the College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins (8-21, 2-10 Skyline) at 12 p.m. from Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex.
