BROOKLYN --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball continued their eight-game road trip Thursday evening with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-10) non-conference setback to the Pratt Institute Cannoneers (4-5) from Pratt ARC in Brooklyn. With the loss, Old Westbury (1-8) moves to 1-4 against Pratt since 2001.

Old Westbury hit .062 in the opening set before finishing the match at a -.052 clip. Pratt fired away at a rate of .329 to hold the advantage in kills (34-12), assists (31-12), aces (14-8), digs (29-22) and blocks (3-2).

Kyraleigh Zinnel served three aces and dished out six assists to captain the Panther offense as Joelle Desrosiers, Daesha Garrison and Danielle Corsi each nailed down three kills. Sofia Goris added two aces and paced the defense with seven digs while Desrosiers totaled one block.

Madeline Markley produced 10 kills and Emelen Mikelic followed with nine as Avery Toomes handed out 29 assists to lead Pratt. Toomes, Markley and Ivana Santascoy each served three aces while Santascoy scooped 11 digs. Cori Glidden chipped in with 1.5 blocks.

ALBERTUS MAGNUS COLLEGE TRI-MATCH UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains on the road Saturday (Sept. 22) for a non-conference tri-match with the Albertus Magnus College Falcons (5-5) at 11 a.m. followed by the Rutgers University-Newark Scarlet Raiders (9-2) at 1 p.m. from Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center in New Haven, Connecticut.
