ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse opened their five-game road trip Tuesday evening with a 19-3 setback against the Bard College Raptors (4-2) in non-conference action from Ferrari Soccer & Lacrosse Complex in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.  The Panthers (1-5) move to 2-4 all-time versus Bard.

After a scoreless 5:05, Bard slipped five-straight goals past Panther goalie Tazmeya Allen (1-5), including the game-winning goal at 17:40 courtesy of Caleigh DeCaprio.  With 9:14 showing on the first-half clock, Old Westbury broke into the scoring column off a Yaritza Caraballo goal to pull within four (5-1).  The Raptors responded with a seven-goal spurt over the final 7:13 to send a 12-1 game into the break.

Bard opened the second-half scoring with back-to-back goals (28:01, 26:52) to extend its lead to 13 (14-1).  Hope Matthews then buried her seventh goal of the season 2:17 later past Raptor goalie Izabel Kickner (4-2) to make it a 14-2 game.  Trailing 17-2, Natasha Treuman found the back of the net at 5:57 to post her 19th goal of the season before Bard tacked on two goals over the final 4:21 to settle the 19-3 final.

Allen made 12 saves in defeat for Old Westbury as Kickner turned away nine shots to secure Bard's win.
