Men’s Golf opens season against Yeshiva and Mount Saint Mary

RESULTS

BRONX, N.Y. --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's golf opened the 2019-20 season Friday morning against the Yeshiva University Maccabees and Mount Saint Mary College Knights from Pelham Bay Golf Course in Bronx, New York. Old Westbury combined to shoot 377 in falling to Mount Saint Mary (318) and Yeshiva (327).

Anthony Mazzella paced Old Westbury with a score of 79 (+5) to tie for fourth place overall. Kihei Hayashi followed with a round of 83 (+9) to tie for seventh place while Anthony DiGirolano's 104 (+30) placed him in 13th. Vinny Trovato rounded out Old Westbury's scoring with 111 (+37) to finish in 14th place.

Mount Saint Mary's Patrick Shea shot a high-round 76 while Dan Schena's 77 was good enough to finish in second place for the Knights.

Old Westbury is scheduled to tee off next at the Farmingdale State College Invitational on Friday (Sept. 20) from Bethpage State Park (Red Course) in Farmingdale, New York.
