83 student-athletes achieve Fall 2019 Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll status

Old Westbury’s Fall 2019 Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll featured six student-athletes with 4.0 grade-point averages

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury director of athletics Lenore J. Walsh hosted the semi-annual Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll Luncheon by honoring the student-athletes with the top grade-point averages from the Fall 2019 semester on campus inside the Student Union on February 20.

In order to be eligible for the Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must achieve a grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the semester. The 83 selections ecompass of all 14 Panther athletic programs, led by baseball's 16 scholar-athletes.

Of the 83 named to the Fall academic honor Roll, Amelia Cariddi (softball), Diana Castellanos (women's swimming), Nic Labiento (baseball/men's cross country), Nicole Spoelstra (women's cross country), Gianna Ventiere (softball) and Austin Young (men's swimming) all recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA.
