The Old Westbury women's soccer team won a Skyline Conference match against Purchase College by a score of 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers move to 4-4-1 overall, while the Mariners fall to 4-5-1.
How it Happened
- Old Westbury had a 6-0 shot advantage in the first 10 minutes of the game, and a scramble in the box led to an own goal from Purchase in the 11th minute.
- In the 44th minute, Mia Almonte received a through ball from Bernadelle Dorvil and beat the keeper to put Old Westbury up 2-0 going into halftime.
- Purchase scored their lone goal in the 53rd minute off a long free kick.
- In the 56th minute, Dorvil received a pass from Jessica Pedroza and found the back of the net to lead 3-1.
