Women's Volleyball Defeats Mount St. Mary

The Old Westbury women's volleyball team defeated the Mount St. Mary Knights in a Skyline Conference match on Sunday evening. Old Westbury improves to 6-8 overall, and 4-4 in conference play. 

1st Set: Old Westbury 25, Mount St. Mary 20
2nd Set: Old Westbury 25, Mount St. Mary 21
3rd Set: Mount St. Mary 25, Old Westbury 19
4th Set: Old Westbury 25, Mount St. Mary 12

How it Happened
  • Old Westbury started the match strong and went on a seven point run early on to take the 8-1 lead. Both teams hit .333 in the first set.
  • In the second set, Old Westbury had 15 kills compared to Mount St. Mary's eight. 
  • Eight attack errors by Old Westbury helped Mount St. Mary take the third set.
  • Old Westbury closed out the game in the fourth set with 12 kills to Mount St. Mary's six.
