Women's Volleyball Defeats Sarah Lawrence to Clinch #5 Seed in Skyline Championship

The Old Westbury women's volleyball team swept the Sarah Lawrence Gryphons in the final Skyline match of the season to clinch the #5 seed in the Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Championship. The Panthers finish the regular season 9-9 overall, and 6-5 in conference play. #5 Old Westbury will face #4 St. Joseph's Long Island in the quarterfinal match on Tuesday, November 1 at St. Joseph's in Patchogue, New York; match time is to be announced.

This is Old Westbury's first return to the postseason and best record since 2011. It is the first time since 2011 that the team has finished .500 or better in both the regular season and conference play. In 2011, the Panthers went 19-15 overall and 5-4 in the Skyline.
