Women's Soccer Defeats Mitchell College

The Old Westbury women's soccer team won a non-conference match against Mitchell College by a score of 3-1 on Thursday afternoon. The Panthers move to 4-4-1 overall, while the Mariners fall to 4-5-1.

How it Happened
  • Mitchell College scored first in the 12th minute when Cassandra Roman took on the goalkeeper one-on-one.
  • Old Westbury scored the equalizer in the 34th minute when Mia Almonte scored her first goal of the game from the top of the box.
  • The score remained tied for most of the second half until Alana Wallce found the back of the net off a rebound in the box in the 88th minute.
  • Mia Almonte scored her second goal of the game, and 10th of the season in the 90th minute.
