The Old Westbury lost its fourth straight game at the hands of St. Joseph's LI on Tuesday night, 75-56. The Panthers fall to 7-13 on the season, 6-12 in the Skyline Conference.
Cherish Francis led the scoring for Old Westbury with 25 points.
Ja'nya Flash scored a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, her fourteenth of the season.
Melinda Harris and
Allysha Thomas each contributed seven points in the effort.
Alyssa Adomaites, the Skyline's leading scorer, and Alyssa Signor each scored 23 points for St. Joseph's; Signor had 12 rebounds for a double-double.
The Panthers struggled in the first half, shooting only 18.75% from the field. St. Joseph's controlled the boards, outrebounding Old Westbury 56-47 and scoring 20 points in the paint. The Golden Eagles, who averaged 7.6 three-pointers a game, knocked down 11 shots from behind the arc, including six from Adomaites.
