OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The SUNY Old Westbury men's basketball team fell to Baruch College as they returned to their home court in the Clark Center Gymnasium. The Bearcats were victorious by a final score of 82-64.
As the team welcomed fans back home for the first time in nearly three years, the Panthers did not do enough to come out on top in this non-conference match-up. With that being said, there were several solid performances from the Panthers.
Jamari Williams had a strong showing. Williams scored 17 points and recorded nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Williams has continued to be a strong asset to the Panthers rotation.
In addition to Williams,
Danny Scringer had a nice showing. Scringer had nine points, seven rebounds, and a steal.
As a team, the Panthers shot the ball 37 percent from the floor. In the stats column, in addition to their 64 points, the team totaled 36 rebounds, 10 steals, one block, and five made three-point attempts.
The Bearcats managed to shoot 48 percent from the floor and convert on 12 three-point shots. The Bearcats' leading scorer was Devin Nicholson who had 17 points and five rebounds. Another strong performance came from Sayeed Osorio who grabbed six rebounds and scored 11 points.
The Panthers turn their attention towards their match-up against CCNY, at home, on Tuesday, November 14. The game will be played in the Clark Center Gymnasium and tip-off is scheduled for 6pm.
