The Old Westbury baseball team earned a non-conference win at FDU-Florham on Tuesday afternoon. The Panthers improve to 9-10 overall.

How it Happened
Old Westbury took the lead with two runs in the opening inning. Jamal Ritter led off the game with a single up the middle and stole second base. After Jacob Taormina walked, Oscar Fajardo doubled to right field to score both runs.
FDU earned one run back in the bottom of the first inning, but Old Westbury responded with three more runs in the top of the second. Troy Emmanuel singled up the middle, and a dropped fly ball later in the inning allowed him to score. John Dell'Olio hit an infield single to score Taormina who reached on the error, and Oscar Fajardo followed with a single through the left side to score Dell'Olio.
The Devils continued to chip away with another run in the second inning, but the Panthers scored another in the third to hold the lead 6-2 after three innings. Aaron Castillo reached on a bunt single, and later scored when Emmanuel singled down the left field line.
John Moeller held FDU scoreless through the last seven innings, and Old Westbury scored a run in each of the sixth and seventh innings for the final score 8-2.

The Old Westbury baseball team will travel to Baruch for a non-conference game on Thursday, April 13th at 3:00 PM, before returning to conference play on Sunday, April 16th at Mount Saint Vincent.
