Panthers Complete High-Scoring Week with win vs. CUNY Lehman

Old Westbury, New York...September 16, 2023... The Panther Women's Soccer team defeated the CUNY Lehman College Lightning 7-0 today, completing a week where the team scored 20 goals and allowed none.

Earning the clean sheet in goal on Saturday were Natalie Intrieri and Evelyn Martel, who split time in goal, each playing 45 minutes.

On the other end of the field, the Panthers were led in scoring by Alyse Then who tallied five goals (17 total for the season).  Also scoring on the day were Mia Almonte (8) and Jessica Pedroza (3).  Almonte (9) and Pedroza (3) also generated assists on the day as did Mikayla Crosier (3).

The Lehman gamed followed a Tuesday victory over CUNY York College that ended 13-0.

As part of the team's community service and outreach efforts, players and families associated with Boys U10 and U14 Long Island Rush soccer teams from the Brentwood Soccer Club were invited to attend the Lehman game and participated in the game introductions and in a halftime scrimmage.
