SUNY Poly Takes Two in Matchup Against Panthers

Utica, New York | September 23, 2023 | Two hard-fought matches were the result when the Panther Women's Volleyball team took the court in Utica, with SUNY Old Westbury falling in both matches.

The first match went to a decisive fifth game before the Panthers fell 3-2 (25-22,28-26, 22-25, 20,25, 8-16). Geannelle Sam and Amy Sanchez led the way with 25 assists and 30 digs, respectively, while Stephanie Maser offered an all-around effort totaling 22 digs, 8 kills, and six aces

In the second match, Old Westbury lost 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 18-25, 16-25).  Again, Geannelle Sam was among the match leaders in assists (24) while Jonangeliz Alvarez-Rodriguez led the Panthers with 11 kills.
