Women’s Basketball Falls to Sarah Lawrence on Saturday

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -  The SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball team fell to the Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence on Saturday afternoon. The final score was 64-37 in favor of Sarah Lawrence.

The Panthers were led in scoring by Sakhmet Lewis who finished the day with 21 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one block and five steals. Shanya Hicks recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals. Caitlyn Subero recorded six points, five rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals.

As a team, Old Westbury shot the ball 22 percent from the floor, and 73 percent from the free-throw line.

Next up, the Panthers will return home for a battle against the Bears of St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn on Tuesday, January 28. The action will tip-off at 7 PM in the Clark Center Gymnasium.
